"Chelo" with Angela Posillico, President of Ms. Latina Intl, Miss Puerto Rico Universe, Cynthia Olavarria, and famed talk show host and fashion guru, Sixto Nolasco.“Ms. Latina International” is more than just a beauty pageant; it is a “Way of Life” for young Latina women everywhere. It is the only “International Competition” that allows contestants to live in the United States while representing their heritage and country of origin. This competition empowers young Latina women to pursue their goals and successful careers based upon a solid education. Each year, Ms. Latina International also helps local charities within their communities. The organization has also worked with many celebrities over previous years including: “Cuban Pete”, Barbara Craddock Scott Grossman, Eduardo Yanez, Rey Ruiz, Tito Puente, Jr., Cynthia Olavarria and Barbara Palacios. A thirteen-week tour beginning on July 4th of 09, will take place, where the search will commence for the next Ms. Latina International. They are set to hold castings around the Americas and the Latin Countries in order to find the next Ms. Latina International. Azteca America is in talks to air the promotional tour in a reality TV format, which will conclude with a made for TV special on the next Ms. Latina International. “What we are doing with this tour is much like American Idol, traveling around cities selecting candidates by the process of elimination and showing behind the scenes as the girls compete for their titles.” It will be directed by some of the most talented international scouts in the nation, and will also contain the latest fashions from world-renowned designers. Ms. Latina International’s thirteen week tour will not just be a typical beauty pageant, but so much more. |
